In an article in TechCrunch, Rebecca Bellan outlines the various options voters have for accessing free transportation to polling locations.
According to Bellan, Lime, Bird, and Spin are all offering two free rides so voters can get to and from polls. Veo riders can get a $5 credit, while Lyft and Uber are offering 50 percent discounts for ride-hailing and bike and scooter share services.
Voters can also access discounts on car rental and car sharing services, as well as polling location information and directions. Many local transit agencies are giving free rides on Election Day as well to promote civic participation and eliminate one of the major barriers to voting access.
